Looking for an awesome place to catch the Fourth of July fireworks show this year? Here’s our list of the top seven pyrotechnic displays in the country!
Nashville – In an effort to outdo the Macy’s fireworks in New York, Nashville claims they will have more than 54,000 shells in their fireworks show this year.
New York City – This year’s fireworks display will take place in two locations: the East River in midtown and the South Street Seaport district. The additional location will make the 39th annual Macy’s fireworks hard competition for Nashville. Performances include Meghan Trainor, Dierks Bentley, Kelly Clarkson, Brad Paisley and Flo Rida. If you are not lucky enough to be there in person, you can always watch the display on NBC.
Washington D.C. – This year’s fireworks will be televised on PBS if you can’t see them in person. In true patriotic fashion, fireworks will be launched in front of the Washington Monument, creating beautiful reflections in the pool area.
Boston – Celebrating its 42nd year, Boston Pops will be presented on a free live webstream. Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, as well as other special guests, will be performing on the Charles River.
Philadelphia – Set up in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, fireworks are accompanied by ongoing live music. However, Philadelphia’s celebrations are much more than one evening of fireworks-they have a weeklong schedule of events that includes music, exhibitions, Colonial characters and re-enactments, patriotic ceremonies and much more. To top it off, most of these events are free!
San Diego – The Big Bay Boom is strategically set up from four barges so that crowds across the bay area can get stunning views of one of the largest displays in the country. What better way to watch fireworks than on the beach?
Addison – While just a suburb in Texas, Addison’s Kaboom Town, brings in half a million spectators. Their fireworks display lasts a whopping 30 minutes and is choreographed to pop music, followed by an air show.
